Conclusion

The first patient had a large cell B lymphoma of the thyroid gland and enlarged lymph nodes The second had a Hodgkins disease of the nodular sclerosing type with abnormal lymph nodes and infiltration of the left thyroid lobe. Always think of the possibility of a malignant lymphoma in cases of an abnormal thyroid gland. See also Case of the Month - October 2011.
