Large partly liquefied hematoma that was caused by a small peripheral located carcinoma not detectable in the first examination

Clinical information

Palpable mass in the left breast in a severely physically handicapped patient with bluish discoloration of the skin

Large partly liquefied hematoma

The hematoma could be aspirated. No remaining mass was palpable or was visible with ultrasound

Half a year later a hematoma reappeared. There is now a mass next to the hematoma visible

The mass is highly vascularized and proved to be a micropapillary breast carcinoma
