Mild funiculitis

Funiculitis the patiënt had an inguinal hernia OK 1 month ago

Clinical information

Male 62 years old had an inguinal TEP operation 1 month ago on the left side and now has pain in his left groin en scrotum. He also had a TEP operation on the right side 15 years ago and since his recent operation now also has some slight irritation in the right groin.

Brief description

The testis are both small and homogenes with a volume of 1,6 ml. Normal vascularisation. The epididymis is not enlaged both side but on the left side there is a small hypoechoic node which is most likely a granuloma. The funiculus on both sides are enlarged and hypoechoic. The presentation with the pain of the patiënt best fit with a mild funiculitis.
